Interviews

Long conversations with the people who build, modify, repair and benchmark local AI hardware. Full transcripts, named guests, stated interests.

Why interviews

Everything on this site that can be measured, gets measured. What cannot be measured is what practitioners know: which card actually fails, why a shop turns a job down, what a burn-in test catches that a benchmark does not, what the bill really looks like. So the answer is to ask, on the record.

The six questions

  1. What do you actually do, in one paragraph, without the marketing?
  2. What breaks most often, and what does it look like before it breaks?
  3. Which number in your field is quoted everywhere and is wrong?
  4. What would you refuse to do, and why?
  5. What changed in the last twelve months that outsiders have not noticed?
  6. What should someone send you, so your answer is useful?

Plus two questions written for the guest.

How it is published

The full transcript, edited for clarity only. No answer is rewritten into a brochure, and nothing is inserted that the guest did not say. Each guest is named, with what they sell stated plainly at the top of the page, because a conflict of interest you can see is worth more than one you cannot. Guests get to check their own quotes, not the article.

Nobody has paid to appear here and there is no affiliate link anywhere on this site.

Be a guest

If you build, modify, repair, host or measure hardware for local AI and you have opinions you can defend, write to the address on Submit and answer the six questions in a first pass. Written answers are fine; a call that gets transcribed is fine too.

No interview is published yet. The six questions are above: if you want to be the first, write in.
